Nature's Candid Camera
The Cameras at the Leopard cave
We have been to the cave twice this year to check batteries and download the photos from the two cameras that are set up there. On both occasions we found positive results for leopards. There were leopard visits on no fewer than eleven occasions, several of them during the day (most unusual). The two galleries below (7 January and 4 March) show the photos of the leopard. There are also some other photos of the baboon troop.
More visits throughout the year - Go to the Leopard Blog and the Otter Blog and also the Blog of Other Animals in the Cameras for updated current photos.
We also installed two more cameras, provided by funding from generous members of the Conservancy. They were positioned to get simultaneous photos of both flanks of the visitor, to assist with identification. We plan to make a night visit soon to check on the results and adjust the settings if necessary.
