The spelling of Rooiels has been the subject of some confusion and debate over the years: Rooi-Els, Rooi Els and Rooiels.
Rooiels as one word is the officially recorded spelling of the name and RERA adopted the spelling of Rooiels as one word for all future correspondence.

Over the years there have been various proposals to change the Constitution. A draft proposal was shared with all Rooielsers in November 2021 and the AGM decided that more work was required before changes could be put to members for a vote.
In August 2022 another Draft Proposal together with a Rationale was received with a request to distribute to all RERA members and also to all residents and the proposers have requested feedback to improve their proposal. Please send any comments and feedback you have by 24th August 2022 to rera.constitution@rooiels.org.za which will go direct to the proposers. These suggestions will be compiled and used by the Proposers to amend their proposal.
