These documents have been received from the Overstrand Municipality. The Documentation refers to the years 2022-2027 but they actually refer to the plan for 2023-2028. You can read the Current IDP 2017-2022 plan that was then extended to 2023 on this link to the OM website. For Rooiels specific see pages 132 and 228 in particular. But other sections have relevance. You can also see the Strategic Development Framework (SDF) on the OM website to provide context for the IDP The dates on this process for 2023-2028 are provisionally: Sept Ward committees meet to identify new IDP wish list/ priorities (Sept ward committee cycle) Sept/October Online Survey Oct onward Public Ward Feedback meetings We need to provide Rooiels feedback on this. Please send your ideas and input to [email protected] The overal IDP is required to include all the components below -- so we would need to incorporate these from a Rooiels perspective. This will ensure that the component of the IDP that refers to us reflect what we want to achieve in that period. (a) the municipal council’s vision for the long term development of the municipality with special emphasis on the municipality’s most critical development and internal transformation needs; (b) an assessment of the existing level of development in the municipality, which must include an identification of communities which do not have access to basic municipal services; (c) the council’s development priorities and objectives for its elected term, including its local economic development aims and its internal transformation needs; (d) the council’s development strategies which must be aligned with any national or provincial sectoral plans and planning requirements binding on the municipality in terms of legislation; (e) a spatial development framework which must include the provision of basic guidelines for a land use management system for the municipality; (f) the council’s operational strategies; (g) applicable disaster management plans; (h) a financial plan, which must include a budget projection for at least the next three years; and (i) the key performance indicators and performance targets determined in terms of section
