REMINDER of the Hack on Saturday 13th January.
ALL welcome - young and old. We will be weeding Rooikrans seedlings in Klein Rooiels come and meet us there at 8 a.m. on Saturday. The Hack tea is hosted afterwards by Margie Ellis at Erf 276 Oceanview Road. The 2017 Breeze has been loaded onto the website - so you can see it on the News section of the website - send the link to any of your friends and there is also a PDF file so that you can download it to your computer if you would like to. Regularly check the Rooiels Chat to get news of fun events (e.g. Greek night 20th Jan) and to the Rooiels Field Notes (some more spring flowers). AND please.............send in some photos from the Christmas period. We will downsize them and put them in the right place. We can put them on with your name or anonymously. But please, the website is only as "alive" as we all make it! Please keep sending in photos - thanks to Denise for sharing the photo from the Crayfish Competition. Go to the Holiday Programme to see photos (and to the Rooiels Boat Club page)
REMINDER-- Beach Clean up on Weds 3rd December. And please keep pulling out those Rookrans seedlings in Klein Rooiels. Thanks to Jill, Wolfgang and Duncan -- so great to have photos of the Leopard and also of some porcupines. Duncan has posted interesting observations and the photos retrieved at the end of December. Go to the Leopard Blog for the story and all the photos. And thanks so much to Sandra Yeo for photos of the Sandcastle Competition which you can see on Photos from the Christmas programme, individual prints available through the shop. And the New Year party at the Pub photo collage is also on the Christmas Programme, - Frankie in drag in a starring role! Also see Jeremy van Zyl's photos of the Seal Walk and Rita Blake of our new baby baboon. See last year's photos. An appeal to send other photos of the 2017-2018 events to [email protected]. Sad to report the loss of one of our little baboons (Squash, 4 months old) on the R44 over Christmas. We will be setting up a Baboon News blog, so that Joselyn can easily keep us updated.
